1980s
Shive-Hattery Engineers & Architects, Inc., transitions to a full service design firm with the addition of mechanical and electrical engineering, along with architectural design, landscape architecture, and roof consulting. Don Hattery becomes chairman after the death of Jim Shive (1985).
1990s
Shive-Hattery expands into Illinois with offices in Bloomington (1993) and the Chicago area (1997). |
Presidents
Employee ownership supports further growth with expansion to the Des Moines area in 1970. Shive-Hattery becomes one of Iowa´s largest engineering firms with four offices.
