History - 2000 — present

Since 1895 Shive-Hattery and its predecessor firms have been employee owned, managed and led. We intend to keep it that way. One of our very big goals is to become a Visionary Company. That term holds a special meaning for us. Homegrown management and leadership and trying a lot of things and keeping what works are a couple of key strategies that will help us become a Visionary Company. The history of our company clearly shows we have been true to this endeavor.

Acquisitions:

In June 2006, Shive-Hattery acquired Arcline Associates, Ltd., of Downers Grove, Ill., a 20-person, retail design firm with gross revenues of $3 million. Arcline Associates continues to operate under its current name as a division of Shive-Hattery, Inc., and Wayne Marth will continue to lead Arcline Associates in Downers Grove as Office Director and Vice President of Shive-Hattery, Inc. "By joining with Shive-Hattery, we´ll take our client service to the next level, particularly with in-house engineering and landscape architecture capabilities," Marth said. "This opportunity will increase responsiveness and deliver integrated design solutions for our clients."
