April 21, 2015
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. April 22, 2015 at the Clear Creek Amana School for its new STEM Center located in Tiffin, Iowa.
ACE (Architecture/Construction/Engineering) high school students will build the 1,500-square-foot STEM Center with the support of industry sponsors and community leaders including Shive-Hattery. The program is designed to teach students the value of careers in construction-related fields on the Clear Creek Campus.
Over 150 students enrolled from a seven-county area participated in design meetings with ACE mentors this fall to design the STEM Center. A core group of those students will work on the jobsite throughout the summer, learning technical skills and networking with industry professionals.
