Medix Staffing Solutions

CHALLENGE

Medix Staffing Solutions was experiencing tremendous growth, with its recruiting and salesforce staff increasing by more than 31%, and its corporate team increasing by 77% in just one year. Wanting to add an additional 50 jobs in Illinois, the workforce solutions company needed to relocate its headquarters to a central location that would help grow business and attract potential employees. As a result, Medix wanted to keep its office in Lombard, Illinois, for its sales team, and create a new office in downtown Chicago for its corporate staff.

In this space, Medix wanted to have access to natural light and use design to convey its strong corporate image.

SOLUTION

To combine Medix’s work philosophies of technology and customer service, Shive-Hattery created an environment that gives employees the flexibility they need to achieve stellar performance and maintain high productivity levels. The office design features a strong corporate image in a fun and energetic environment.

Working with 13,000 square feet of space, the design features a mix of glass and wood, with bright colors used on furniture and accent walls. Low-walled workplace furniture was selected to allow Medix employees ample views to the outdoors when seated, even from deep inside the space.

IMPACT

The new Medix Staffing Solutions office in Chicago sets the stage for innovation and collaboration, allowing the company to creatively recruit the greatest talent in the market. It also allowed Medix Staffing Solutions to separate its sales and corporate teams; now, each group can focus on better serving the needs of their customers and meeting their company-wide goals.
