Transportation Funding Assistance
Time, use and additional demand cause transportation systems to deteriorate or run out of capacity. Both the public and private sector are always in need of more funding due to the high-level of competition for limited funds.
Although there is no magical solution to funding shortfalls for transportation projects, we have been successful with helping our clients apply for and receive funding to supplement their locally-funded portion of projects. Several types of transportation funding can be used to help address congestion/air quality issues, safety problems, traffic operation issues, shared use trails and other types of concerns. In many cases, this can result in a lower local cost, allowing the community to spend local funding on other important needs. We are familiar with the application process and continue to investigate current changes to the requirements and look for other opportunities.
Securing outside funding can sometimes be the difference in whether a project can proceed or not. Past projects have included finding additional funding that resulted in significant reductions in emissions, provided communities with a safe place for residents to walk and bike, and vastly decreased the probability for motorists to be involved in serious accidents.
