Project and Program Management


Project Management, like architecture and engineering, is a profession. Skillful project management contributes significantly to the success of a project. Shive-Hattery project managers work with our clients from planning through construction to commissioning. An important role of our project managers is to select and coordinate team members to effectively meet the expectations of stakeholders including the client, users and contractors.

Shive-Hattery has developed its own project management processes and templates based on the Project Management Institute´s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Our project teams, led by our professional project managers, tailor each knowledge area to the specific needs of our client´s project and "integrate" them together like the pieces of a puzzle.

Program management requires additional processes and skills to assist our clients in managing multiple, interrelated projects to deliver a successful program. Our program managers assist with strategic planning and execution of these projects in order to meet our client's goals. As with project management, program management requires planning, monitoring/controlling and re-planning when necessary to achieve the desired results that will meet the programs objectives.
