Environmental Impact Award

Shive-Hattery received an Environmental Impact Award for its West Des Moines design office. The award is given in honor of Earth Day (April 22, 2015) by The Center on Sustainable Communities, Des Moines Water Works, Greater Des Moines Partnership, and Metro Waste Authority.
The Environmental Impact Awards recognize organizations that exemplify environmentally sustainable practices.
2015 award winners are:
Built Environment (presented by Center on Sustainable Communities)
- Commercial: Shive-Hattery
- Residential: Silent Rivers Big Transformation
Business (presented by Greater Des Moines Partnership)
- Business: Beckley Automotive Services
Civic (presented by Metro Waste Authority)
- Government Body: City of West Des Moines
- Non-governmental Organization: Drake University
Winners will be honored at the Environmental Impact Awards luncheon from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Windsor Heights Community Center in Colby Park.
