The Iowa Architectural Foundation (IAF) recognized Shive-Hattery for its commitment and support of their mission to “promote the awareness and appreciation of architecture and design” through youth and adult educational/outreach programs, community design charrettes, architectural walking tours, an annual lecture series, and more.

Some of IAF’s most notable volunteers and trustees include Shive-Hattery architects Gary Van Dyke, AIA and Bob Bisenius, AIA.

IAF Executive Director Claudia Cackler presented the IAF Firm of the Year award to the design firm on February 3, 2020.
