Shive-Hattery’s Water Resources Group in West Des Moines is growing and we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team.  You will be part of our Community Development Team made up of 40 talented Engineers, Surveyors, and Landscape Architects who have a passion of serving our clients and bettering our communities. 

Civil Engineers with 5+/years of experience in stormwater, urban drainage, flood mitigation, stream restoration, watershed improvements, and green infrastructure BMP’s are encouraged to apply.  You will have an opportunity to lead a variety of projects throughout Iowa as we continue to deliver sound solutions for our clients.

Education and Experience:

·       5+ Years of experience related to water resources

·       Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field

·       Licensed Professional Engineer in Iowa

·       Experience in the following are preferred:

·       Urban stormwater analysis and design. (XP SWMM, SewerGEMS)

·       Floodplain modeling and permitting (HEC-RAS)

·       Watershed Improvements and Stream Restoration

·       AutoCAD Civil 3D
