Under general supervision performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of an operating unit, to include posting entries, verifying, and reconciling input to financial reports system output, processing payments, and/or assisting in preparation of billings and other financial reports. Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments and/or vendors to resolve a variety of problems. Assists in performance of various clerical duties.

Duties include:

  • Assist with regular bank reconciliations
  • Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, projects and postings
  • Help provide and prepare information for reports
  • Interacting with management, customers and vendors
  • Keep sensitive information confidential
  • Perform general office support like filing and other administrative tasks
  • Posting financial transactions in database
  • Producing a variety of reports
  • Provide assistance with invoices and payments
  • Receiving and recording vouchers, checks and cash
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records/projects
  • Using Deltek Vantagepoint
  • Perform other additional duties as assigned


  • Ability to follow specific directions and work within standards of accuracy
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Education/Experience 

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
