Under general supervision, you will collaborate with other departments and vendors to resolve inquiries and problems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Post timesheets on a weekly basis, identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in labor cost allocation
- Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks, maintaining meticulous records of transactions
- Review and process expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation
- Interact with management, customers, and vendors, demonstrating effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, exhibiting professionalism and integrity
- Produce a variety of weekly and monthly financial reports, contributing to the timely dissemination of accurate financial information
- Check reports, projects, and postings for accuracy, promptly resolving any discrepancies
- Coordinate, file, and monitor state licensure requirements, ensuring compliance within the accounting function
- Perform additional duties as assigned, providing support in various accounting and clerical tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
- Effective communicator, capable of building relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues within various industries
- Efficient and organized, able to manage workload effectively within the designated hours (32 – 40 hours per week)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, utilizing advanced functions and formulas
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and compliance standards
- Ability to demonstrate ethical standards and integrity in handling financial transactions and confidential information
