We have worked with Scott on many of his roundabouts in town. Coralville is one of the leaders in roundabouts in Iowa. We have served as a peer reviewer for Scott as well as lead design. Coralville was the first in the state to install a mini roundabout, which was designed by Shive-Hattery. |

Shive-Hattery serves as the City Engineer for North Liberty and had the opportunity to assist with installing their community's first roundabouts. Since their first roundabout on Dubuque Street, near their new high school, more have been not only been considered, but also constructed. |

In 2008, we worked with Kent at the Iowa DOT to install the first roundabout on two primary highways in Iowa and first roundabouts in Mount Vernon. There was a significant public education component, which led to installing multiple roundabouts and obtaining state and federal funding. |
