Mobile Units
- Advantages
- Highly effective against surface and airborne pathogens.

- Room must be unoccupied or protective eye protection and protective clothing must be worn during usage.

Upper Room
- Advantages
- Reduces transmission of airborne pathogens.
- Indirect distribution makes it safe to be used in occupied spaces.
- Lower cost than mobile units.
- Disadvantages
- Requires regular maintenance and testing to verify disinfection effectiveness.
Air Handler/Air Duct
- Advantages
- Mounted in air handlers or ductwork, no direct human exposure.
- Disinfects cooling coils and air circulating through air handler.
- Relative low cost.
- Disadvantages
- Longer time to disinfect air due to travel time from occupied space through air handler.
- Less effective against person to person transmission of airborne pathogens.
Handheld
- Advantages
- Mobile and very low cost.
- Disadvantages
- Not tested for safety and effectiveness.

- Advantages
- Integrated into standard white light fixtures.
- Offers two different dosages, low and high disinfection mode.
- Safe for humans to work under.
- Disadvantages
- Higher initial cost than standard white light fixture.
- Disinfection mode lighting may not be aesthetically pleasing as regular white light.
VISIBLE LIGHT DISINFECTION LIGHTING
