Linn CC – Pinicon Ridge Campground Expansion

Located in Central City, IA

Back to projects

The water distribution design for Pinicon Ridge Park is a critical component of these upgrades, ensuring that the park’s infrastructure can supply adequate drinking water to these new amenities. The park already had a 6″ water line running through the center of the proposed RV campground. Our project included an expanded water distribution system to provide water service at each campsite. Our team closely coordinated the water distribution lines and the sewer collection piping to properly separate and protect the water supply. Additionally, we worked with the park staff and provided valving to help them maintain the water lines and shut down certain areas for the winter months.

Our team completed the project under a challenging design schedule, allowing the park to take advantage of a good bidding climate and give the contractor a highly feasible construction schedule to attract competitive bids. Throughout the design, we coordinated with the IDNR Drinking Water Supply Engineering department to keep them informed of the project, ensure that we submitted the documentation they were looking for, and achieve a timely permit issuance.

The park is in the final stages of completion and is set to have its first campers on June 12.
