There’s nothing like the experience of downtown Cedar Rapids. Beautiful ginkgo leaves everywhere, public art, and sometimes the sweet smell of Crunch Berries wafting through the air (if the wind is moving in the right direction)!

The office isn’t spread across several floors. We work together in a cozy, comfortable environment where everyone you need is nearby.

Our space lets in so much natural light! No matter where you are, you get to enjoy views and daylight.

Leadership

Nick Hatz is Managing Director of the Cedar Rapids design office and corporate headquarters. He is responsible for a culture aligned with Shive-Hattery’s guiding principle, values and purpose. He’s an advocate for employees, fostering mentoring, development and engagement, while supporting growth strategies for culture, client experience, project delivery and profitability.

Nick is a civil engineer who solves challenging site design issues, from master planning through design and construction. His goal with every project is to help clients improve the community landscape.
