AIA Northern Indiana Design Award
By Shive Hattery
AIA Northern Indiana recognized the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex located on the North Central Campus of Purdue University Northwest with an Honorable Mention.
See what students have to say about the new facility which combines student organizations, athletics, fitness and recreation, as well as a conference center to create a new active and social heart of campus. Video
The facility celebrates a critical aspiration: the creation of a sustainable and “signature” building which celebrates, defines and transforms the university campus, and which embraces and enhances the natural campus environment. Massing, orientation and framed views integrate with, and take advantage of this beautifully landscaped and natural campus rich in world-renowned public art.
