Electrical Modeling Drafter

Overview

 Shive-Hattery’s Cedar Rapids office has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Modeling Drafter. 

As an Electrical Designer/Modeling Drafter at Shive-Hattery, we will give you the tools to become a master of your craft. Software experience is preferred, but a learning/growth mentality will allow you to create a fruitful career within Shive-Hattery.  

We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative and ambitious person with an interest in the Electrical Design field. We will equip you with the tools to grow your career, while putting you in positions to learn from professionals within the organization. 

• Provide Autodesk Revit, and possibly other drafting software, production support for projects in the Electrical engineering discipline 
• Work in a team environment on multidiscipline projects 
• Assist in the coordination of MEP systems design with team members of other trades 
• Manage time and workload effectively. This includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing work 

 Our Cedar Rapids office is one of the largest offices within Shive-Hattery, situated in the middle of downtown with great access to Solon, Mt. Vernon, Iowa City, and much more!  

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Zero (0) to five (5) year work experience utilizing Autodesk Revit or other 3D modeling and drafting software desired 
• Ability to produce construction documents, including 3D model generation and detailing 
• Willingness to collaborate with other team members and have good interpersonal skills 
• Effectively handle multiple projects and multiple deadlines 
• Willingness to learn new skills 
• Good attention to detail
