Lee has over 35 years of experience in the field of architecture and design. Early in his career, Lee spent time with the US Navy where he was a construction contracts administrator at Camp Pendleton, CA, and a facilities officer at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, WA. Since entering private practice, Lee has been responsible for the architectural design and production associated with various DOD projects, public use facilities as well as private businesses. Specific duties have included field investigations, ADA studies, designs, construction drawings, specifications writing, cost estimating, construction administration, and client liaison for more than 150 highly diverse projects. He also has been responsible for a number of renovations of housing facilities for low-income tenants. Additionally, Lee is Helix’s senior sustainable design specialist and provides project oversight to meet sustainability standards.
