This is the first station completed for the new Mountain Vista Fire District. Station No. 620 includes 11 bunk rooms, a fitness room, dayroom, kitchen, decontamination area, turnout gear room, SCBA/hose storage, and two full apparatus bays plus a half bay for an ambulance. The design includes ground concrete floors, masonry construction, a solar hot water system, and solartube skylights. The station is designed and built to have a long life span and to accommodate a future apparatus bay.
The Fire Station received the Notable Design Award – Career Category – Fire Chief’s Station Style Competition.
