Shive-Hattery’s team of professionals has designed and helped to implement wetland projects across the Midwest. Our experience includes:
- Urban stormwater wetlands to improve water quality and reduce downstream impacts.
- Design of nutrient reduction wetlands in agricultural watersheds to help meet our states nutrient reduction goals.
- Wetland mitigation and bank establishment.
Wetland Delineation
Our team of certified wetland delineators are well versed in the delineation standards set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Our delineators and environmental team use emerging technologies to complete delineation work more quickly and effectively than traditional methods. This results in a higher quality product for you. Our wetland professionals produce reports for the Corps of Engineers and other regulatory agency review. These reports are widely used to complete permit applications.
Mitigation and Restoration
Shive-Hattery has technical knowledge in designing, permitting, construction and monitoring of wetland and stream mitigation for projects that impact Waters of the United States. If impacts are unavoidable, Shive-Hattery’s environmental team can assist with navigating compensatory mitigation requirements for compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA). Ultimately, the Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for the final determination of type and amount of mitigation required. Shive-Hattery’s experience with navigating these requirements and working with regulatory agencies is invaluable.
