Our Madison Studio is a Small but Mighty Team.

We consider ourselves lucky to get the opportunity to shape our Madison architecture and engineering firm to suit the needs of the community.

Today our strengths are found in engineering— mechanical and structural — and we support several Wisconsin industrial plants and government agencies, including the University of Wisconsin system.

Of course, we can’t forget how great it is to work in Madison! It was recently ranked the best U.S. city to live in by Livability for good reason: a famous farmers’ market, cultural attractions, outdoor sports, and a fun college-town atmosphere, for starters.

Because our office is in a pedestrian-friendly area, it’s easy to get up, get outside, stretch your legs, and maybe even visit the dog park down the street!
Because we’re a newer studio, we spend lots of time getting Shive-Hattery’s name out into the community, which means fun outings, networking, and meeting new people.

Monica Sargent is Managing Director of the Madison studio. She is responsible for a culture aligned with Shive-Hattery’s guiding principle, values and purpose. She advocates for employees, fostering mentoring, development and engagement, while supporting growth strategies for culture, client experience, project delivery and profitability.
