Overview

As a Project Accountant for Helix Design Group, a division of Shive-Hattery, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and architects providing essential financial insights and support to drive positive outcomes. Your expertise will not only influence project efficiency and profitability but also contribute to our mission of creating meaningful impact through design. This is an in-office position in Tacoma, Washington.

  • Strong collaborative ability and team-oriented mindset
  • Accounting [CC1] certification or license
  • Capacity to follow standard procedures
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint software preferred

    

Requirements

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage Accounting Assistant and Administrative staff
  • Manage office and project accounts payable and receivable
  • Manage monthly invoice packages consistent with contract and project specific requirements. 
  • Maintain timely communications with clients, as needed
  • Maintain client-related documentation (e.g. contracts, invoices, master service agreements, etc.)
  • Make transfers of employee billable hours and/or expenses as needed and open and close phases as needed in the system. 
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with specific client agreements, billing policies and internal financial policies. Address any adverse findings. 
  • Assist with project closeout process including review project financials to reconcile WIP; and de-activate project/phases

Compensation is $25 – $40 hourly dependent upon experience. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience and certifications.
