Boys & Girls Club
Located in Valparaiso, IN
In January 2020, the Valparaiso Boys & Girls Club board approved a capital campaign for a new club. The Valparaiso Club dates back more than 50 years, calling two previous locations home.
A partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana and Urschel Development Corporation allowed for an exchange of properties with Urschel Development redeveloping the former club building which dates to 1899. As part of the partnership the new club will be situation on 8.24 acres from Urschel Development and include green space for outside exploration and play.
The features of the new club will allow members access to new programs and after school activities. These features will include a teen room, STEM lab, digital music recording studio, two full-size gyms, rock-climbing wall, teaching kitchen and an art room.
The new facility will help the Boys & Girl’s Club with their goal of inspiring youth to reach their full potential for the next generation.
