This study for the Glendale Police Department, done in collaboration with Crime Lab Design, includes a basic program and concept, needs assessment, and a space analysis. Basic site and building concept designs were created for a new 34,400 SF crime laboratory. This building design accommodates both laboratory and office departments with space provided for blood/breath alcohol, DNA, latent prints, questioned documents, toxicology, serology, and trace/firearms. The entire study was completed in 30 days in order to meet the client’s deadline. It also included a conceptual cost estimate prepared by the contractor.
