Following the completion of Millikin University’s new softball facility in 2017, the Workman family and additional donors donated funds for a new, on-campus baseball facility. The goal of the design was to deliver an on-campus baseball facility meeting and elevate the high-performance standards of Millikin University.

Shive-Hattery brought its decades of experience and lessons learned in designing athletic fields and complexes to the table. The baseball facility was designed to meet Millikin’s 10 specific goals that addressed the needs of the athletic department, team players, recruits, and fans. 

With the completion of the facility, Millikin University is in a position to strengthen its baseball program, enhancing top student-athlete recruiting and student-athlete experience while setting the standard for Division III baseball facilities around the country.
