Boeing Cafeterias
Located in WA
Boeing needed to modernize and expand dining facilities across multiple Washington locations, transforming underutilized laboratory, manufacturing, and storage spaces into efficient, welcoming cafeterias. The challenge was to create environments that could support high-volume food service operations while enhancing the dining experience for employees and guests.
Helix Design Group partnered with Boeing to renovate and reimagine cafeterias at the 9-94 Building and Fly Away Café 9-101 in Tukwila, as well as Building 3-800 in Seattle. Each project focused on optimizing kitchen workflows, streamlining food preparation and cooking areas, and creating comfortable, functional dining spaces. The designs balanced operational efficiency with inviting interiors that encourage collaboration, relaxation, and connection.
The updated cafeterias provide Boeing employees and visitors with modern, enjoyable places to gather, dine, and recharge. Improved kitchen layouts support efficient food service operations, while thoughtfully designed dining environments enhance comfort and the overall workplace experience. These spaces contribute to a more connected and engaging campus atmosphere across Boeing’s Washington facilities.
