Panora Medical Clinic at Guthrie County Hospital

Located in Panora, IA

Back to projects

Guthrie County Hospital wanted to find a new location for its satellite clinic in Panora, Iowa. Its current office was in a strip mall, with exam rooms that were too small and thin walls that didn’t offer patients enough privacy. A new location would allow the clinic to fix these issues and add more providers to better serve the community.

A new site was chosen off a busy state highway on the east side of town, increasing the clinic’s visibility and accessibility. The one-story, 6,800-square-foot facility has a contemporary design, with high sloped ceilings and lots of glass in the reception area to let in natural light. More windows in the hallways help patients and staff orient themselves in the building and offer views of nature that reduce stress levels. High-grade drywall in the walls and a white noise sound-masking system help add privacy for patients.

Since the opening of the new location, the clinic was able to add another provider, and is designed to be able to expand easily on one side if needed in the future.
