As part of its ongoing commitment to bringing quality healthcare to the communities it serves, MercyOne Genesis engaged Shive-Hattery to help evaluate potential sites for future growth.The team led Genesis through a detailed due diligence and master planning process to explore land acquisition opportunities, assess development potential, and identify options for consolidation and expansion. Multiple iterations of site plans were developed and refined in collaboration with Genesis leadership to test various configurations and phasing strategies.

Coordination with the City of Bettendorf is ongoing as infrastructure, utilities, and services are being planned and extended to support future development.Through this process, Genesis was able to analyze space needs, evaluate long-term options, and make an informed decision on purchasing property best suited for growth. The future master plan envisions a 100-bed hospital and two medical office buildings with room for expansion over the next 25 years. Planning efforts remain active as Genesis continues to define construction priorities and implementation phases based on community needs and operational goals.
