We Care Daily Clinic sought to address the growing demand for opioid treatment services in Auburn, Washington, by transforming a vacant 11,990-square-foot building into a welcoming outpatient clinic. The client wanted to move beyond the traditional institutional healthcare experience, creating a space that supports patient dignity, promotes recovery, and prioritizes staff well-being while accommodating a wide range of clinical and counseling services.

The design team completed a full interior renovation, removing all existing walls and finishes to create a flexible, patient-centered environment. The new layout includes clinical evaluation areas, counseling and therapy spaces, a secure dispensary, patient onboarding and testing zones, child care accommodations, and staff-focused amenities. Inspired by the surrounding natural environment, the design incorporates modern furnishings, vibrant accents, and a centralized entrance that improves patient flow, safety, and accessibility. Thoughtful staff spaces, including comfort rooms, showers, and collaborative work areas, further support employee wellness and efficiency.

The completed facility provides a supportive, noninstitutional setting that enhances the treatment experience for patients while fostering a healthier work environment for staff. Efficient circulation, convenient self-check-in options, and multifunctional spaces improve daily operations and patient comfort. The project also establishes a foundation for future growth, including a second-phase Recovery Café focused on career readiness and life skills development, extending the clinic’s impact beyond clinical care and supporting long-term recovery success.
