Peoples Bank needed to renovate its 2,300-square-foot Midlothian branch to better support both customer service and daily operations. Working within an existing building required the team to make efficient use of a limited footprint while accommodating banking and office functions. The renovation also needed to create a professional, welcoming environment for customers and employees. Balancing these needs within the existing conditions was central to the project.

Shive-Hattery provided architectural services and coordinated with interior design, structural, civil, landscape architecture, and engineering partners throughout the design process. The team organized the branch to make effective use of available space while supporting the different functions required for banking operations. Design decisions addressed both the customer-facing experience and the needs of employees working behind the scenes. This coordinated approach transformed the existing space into a functional, cohesive banking environment.

The renovated branch provides Peoples Bank with an updated space that better serves customers and employees. An efficient layout supports daily workflows while making the branch easier and more comfortable to use. The renovation extends the usefulness of the existing facility while supporting Peoples Bank’s continued service in Midlothian.
