Hills Bank and Trust Company sought to create a refreshed banking environment in southwest Cedar Rapids that would support both client service and employee needs. The project required thoughtful coordination across architecture, interiors, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental disciplines. The team needed to balance functionality, comfort, and the bank’s established identity within the existing project parameters. Careful planning was also important to support a smooth path from design through construction.

Shive-Hattery provided a multidisciplinary design approach that brought together interior design, architecture, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, and environmental expertise. The team coordinated building systems and interior elements to create a cohesive, functional space.
