Cass Health identified an opportunity to relocate their optometry services from the hospital to a dedicated clinic located nearby in Atlantic, Iowa. The new facility was designed to improve access to eye care services for residents of Atlantic and surrounding communities while maintaining a strong connection to the broader Cass Health network. The new clinic required a functional and welcoming healthcare environment that supports both high-quality patient care, efficient clinical operations, and the daily needs of providers and staff.

Shive-Hattery worked with Cass Health to develop the purposed-driven clinic tailored to the unique requirements of optometry services. The design focused on creating functional clinical spaces that support efficient workflows and a comfortable patient experience. Careful planning helped organize the clinic to accommodate the equipment, technology, and operational requirements associated with optometry services.

The completed optometry clinic provides Cass Health with a dedicated, modern environment for delivering comprehensive eye care services to the community.
