Clinton Perrin Substation
Located in Clinton, IA
Starting in 2016 Alliant asked Shive-Hattery to look at several sites for the development of a substation along the US Hwy 61/67 corridor. Shive-Hattery helped them narrow down potential sites and Alliant purchased the selected site before the final design. We provided site renderings for Alliant to present the development to the City Council.
The renderings provided visuals for how the substation would fit into a visually sensitive area. The substation was constructed and energized in 2022 to provide a reliable, redundant, and resilient power supply to the City’s gateway area, as well as existing and new industries in the area.
