Thistle Veterinary Care needed a thoughtfully designed tenant improvement to transform an existing Seattle space into a functional veterinary care environment. The project required balancing the operational needs of a healthcare setting with the comfort of clients, staff, and animals. The design also needed to make efficient use of the available footprint while supporting day-to-day veterinary services. Creating a welcoming, practical space within an existing building was central to the project.

Shive-Hattery developed a tenant improvement design tailored to the specific needs of Thistle Veterinary Care. The layout was planned to support efficient workflows, organized treatment functions, and a positive experience for visitors and staff. The design also kept future growth in mind, allowing the practice to easily expand into the neighboring tenant space as its needs evolve. Design decisions considered how people and animals would move through the space while maintaining the functionality expected of a modern veterinary clinic.

The completed tenant improvement provides Thistle Veterinary Care with a space designed around both its current needs and future growth. A more efficient layout helps support staff workflows and creates a smoother experience for clients bringing pets in for care. The welcoming environment also helps reinforce a sense of comfort and trust within the clinic. With the ability to expand into the neighboring tenant space in the future, the practice has a flexible foundation for continued growth and serving Seattle-area pet owners.
