RSM’s 7,000-square-foot Melbourne office serves as the anchor tenant space within a newly developed building, thoughtfully designed to elevate the client’s experience while fostering meaningful connections among employees and guests. Recognizing the Melbourne team’s passion for hosting and gathering, the workplace was centered around a vibrant Social Hub that supports events, collaboration, and community. RSM envisioned a space that captured the spirit of a beach bonfire: warm, inviting, energetic, and reflective of the unique culture and personality of its people.

Shive-Hattery partnered closely with RSM to translate that vision into an engaging workplace environment through a bold exploration of color, texture, and pattern. Rich, expressive hues flow seamlessly across floors, walls, and ceilings, creating an immersive experience that feels intentional and cohesive rather than overwhelming. The result is a workplace that is both dynamic and welcoming, encouraging creativity, connection, and a strong sense of belonging.

The Boardroom reinforces the coastal-inspired concept by drawing cues from a contemporary beach house, featuring faux wood beams and linear ceiling elements that add warmth and architectural character. Celebrating Melbourne’s location along Florida’s Space Coast, curated astronaut-inspired artwork is woven throughout the office, creating a meaningful connection to the surrounding community and regional identity.

The workplace balances this expressive, hospitality-driven design with functionality and employee well-being. Height-adjustable workstations support flexibility and comfort, while private offices feature glass fronts and warm wood veneer doors that promote transparency, access to daylight, and visual connectivity throughout the space.
