Shive-Hattery has worked as a trusted partner with Drake University for the past decade to help bring its campus vision to life. Together, we have strengthened campus identity and supported donor-driven opportunities that create lasting, meaningful features throughout campus. Our environmental graphics team is the go-to resource for Drake Facilities and Athletics Sign needs throughout campus. Our work includes developing design standards for gateway monument signage that appear at campus entrances. These signs were crafted to be consistent, durable, and resistant to vandalism, giving Drake a cohesive and long‑lasting visual presence.

We also partnered with the university to design the electronic media sign outside the Knapp Center, which now enhances the visitor experience by promoting upcoming events and sponsorship messages. Shive-Hattery also worked with key stakeholders from Des Moines Public Schools, Drake University and Mediacom to create gateway signage for the recently constructed soccer stadium. By listening closely and working side by side with stakeholders, we helped shape an inviting arrival experience that reflects the stadium’s role as a shared community venue.
